1:1 Sessions
Book a session for a client yourself
Schedule a session on someone's behalf, from one of your session types or as a quick ad-hoc session.
Sometimes you agree on a session in person, over email, or after reading someone's form answers. Instead of sending them a link, you can book it for them with Schedule Session.
When to use this
- A lead filled in your form and you want to offer them a call straight away.
- You've arranged a time with someone and want it in Soul with them as the client.
- You want a quick, free check-in that isn't one of your public session types.
Right now you start Schedule Session from someone's form response. If the person hasn't filled in a form, share a short form (even just name and email) or send them the session link.
Book from a form response
Open the response
Go to Audience → Forms & Funnels, open the form, and find the person's response.
Click Schedule
Click Schedule next to the response, or open it and click Schedule 1:1 Session. The Schedule Session page opens with their name and email filled in ("Schedule a session with …").
Choose the type of session
- Ad-hoc Session: "Quick session based on your general availability." A free, 30-minute session. - From Session Types: "Choose from your predefined session types." Pick one of your session types; its duration and availability apply.
Pick a time
Choose a date and one of the Available times, check the Booking Details, and click Confirm Booking.
You'll see "Session Booked Successfully!" and "Your one-on-one session has been scheduled and confirmed." Click View My Bookings to see it.
Good to know
- Ad-hoc sessions are free and unlisted. They're created for that one client and don't appear on your portal.
- Session types keep their own rules. If the session type is paid, the booking is created as Unpaid and the client sees Payment pending with a Finish Payment button on the session's page. If it needs your approval, a free booking lands as Pending until you confirm it.
- Only open times are shown. Your weekly hours, buffers, notice period and existing bookings still apply.
- The person needs an email address. That's how the booking is linked to them. If they don't have a Soul account yet, one is created for that email.
The success screen says "scheduled and confirmed" in every case. For a paid or approval-required session type, check the booking's status in View All Bookings afterwards.
What your members see
The session shows on the Calendar tab in their Activity and opens their booking page, with the time and, once it's confirmed and online, the meeting link. For a paid session type, it shows there only after they pay. Until then, the session's page on your portal shows Payment pending with Finish Payment.
