Community
Care for your members
Find anyone in your community, see how they're taking part, message them, keep private notes and add them to circles.
Community → Community Members is "Everyone in your community. You always see who's behind a name." Even when a member posts anonymously or uses a display name, you see who they are.
When to use this
- You want to check in with someone who's gone quiet.
- You want to place a member in a circle, or introduce them to someone.
- You want to remember something about a member that only you can see.
Find the member
Go to Community → Community Members. Use the tabs Active, Inactive and Requests, the filter (All community members, Muted, Blocked from board), Search by name or email…, and sort by Recently joined, Name, Most posts or Recently active.
Open their page
Click a row. The Community tab shows their profile answers, Membership (status, joined, last active), Posts & engagement, Circles & gatherings, a Private host note and Moderation. If they're also a customer or lead, the Overview, Purchases, Sessions and Forms tabs show that side.
Reach out
Click Direct message to open a private conversation with them, or Introduce to connect them with another member. See Messages and Introduce members.
Add them to a circle
Under Circles & gatherings, click Add to a circle and pick one. They're notified that their access is live.
Keep a private note
Write in Private host note ("A private note about this member…"). It saves automatically and members never see it. If the member is also a contact in your audience, use their contact notes instead.
Who's in which tab
| Tab | Shows |
|---|---|
| Active | Everyone currently in the community. |
| Inactive | "Members who leave, whose paid membership lapses, or who you remove show up here." |
| Requests | Removed members asking to come back. Approve or decline each request. The count shows next to Community Members in the sidebar. |
Tips
- Members and subscribers are different lists. Someone can be in your community without paying, and pay without joining. Your paying audience is in Business → Customers & Subscribers, and everyone (leads included) is in Audience → People.
- The roster counts you. You appear as a member with a Host badge.
- Inviting new people? Share your community link from Community → Overview → Invite Members.
- Welcome them automatically with Set Up Welcome Email on this page.
What your members see
Nothing changes for a member when you open their page or write a note. They notice when you message them, introduce them, or add them to a circle (they're told their access is live).
