Messages
Your direct conversations with members and other Luminaries, in one inbox on your Soul home.
Your direct messages live in one inbox, on your Soul home at bringsoul.life. It holds the conversations members start with you on your portal, the ones you start, and your Co-Creation conversations, alongside your own memberships as a member.
Where to find it
- Open your Soul home. Your portal's conversations appear under Portal messages, above your own.
- In the dashboard, an unread count shows on your account picture in the left rail.
How conversations start
| Who starts it | How |

| A member | With the Message button in your portal header. It's only shown to members. Add it in My Portal with Add header buttons → Message. See Add links and header buttons. |
| You, with a community member | Direct message on their page in Community → Community Members. See Care for your members. |
| Two members, through you | An introduction. When both accept, they can message each other. |
| Another Luminary | Say Hello on a Co-Creation match, Message on their profile in Discover, or an accepted invitation or pitch. |
Each person has one conversation with you. Starting a new message to them reopens the same thread.
In a conversation
- Filter your list by All or Unread, or Search conversations.
- Edit or delete a message you sent. "They will see the change, marked as edited."
Good to know
- Members can't message each other directly. Use introductions.
- Keep private notes private. Your host notes and moderation notes never go into a message.
- Group conversations happen in chat spaces, which also appear in the same inbox.
What members see
Members see your conversation in their Soul inbox, next to their chat spaces. See Messages, chat and activity.
