Courses
Include a course in your membership
Make a course free for your subscribers, or available only to them, as a perk of your membership.
Your paying members get the course at no extra cost. You choose whether non-members can still buy it.
When to use this
- Your course is a reason to join your membership.
- You want to reward existing subscribers.
- You want a members-only library of courses.
Choose your setup
| If you want… | Visibility | Prices |
|---|---|---|
| Members get it free, everyone else can buy it | Public | Regular Price e.g. $99, Subscriber Price $0 |
| Members get it free, nobody else can get it | Private | Regular Price $0 |
| Members only, at a member price | Private | Regular Price set to the member price |
Steps
Open the course
Go to Offerings → Courses and open the course.
Set the visibility
Click ⋯ → Edit details. Under Visibility, choose Public or Private from the table above. Click Save Changes.
Set the prices
On the Course details tab, under Course settings, click Edit next to Price.
- Public, free for members: set the Regular Price, then click Add subscriber price and enter
0. - Private: set the Regular Price to
0(free for members) or to the member price.
Click Save Changes.
Publish and tell your members
Click Publish course if needed, and publish the lessons. Then post an announcement so members know it's waiting for them.
Good to know
- Members still click Enroll. Being a subscriber doesn't enroll anyone automatically. They open the course and enroll, at no charge.
- Private means active subscribers. If someone's membership has lapsed, they can't enroll in a private course until they subscribe again.
- Enrollment stays. Members who enrolled keep the course even if they later cancel their membership.
- Non-members on a private course see "This course is exclusive to subscribers." and a Subscribe to Enroll button that leads to your membership. People who aren't signed in see "This is an exclusive course for subscribers only." and Subscribe & Sign Up.
On a Public course, a subscriber price only helps members if you add one. With just a regular price, members pay the same as everyone else.
What your members see
Subscribers see their own price (or free) and an Enroll button. Non-members see the regular price on a public course, or the subscribers-only message on a private one.
