Offer up to five membership prices, billed monthly, yearly or both, so members can choose the level that fits.

Give members a choice of fixed prices, such as an accessibility rate, a standard rate and a supporter rate.

Every tier opens the same membership; tiers differ only in price. If you just want monthly and yearly billing, one tier with both is enough.

When to use this

  • You want a small number of clear prices rather than a sliding scale.
  • You want to offer a yearly plan with a discount alongside monthly.
  • You're moving from another platform that had named tiers.

Prefer a sliding scale? See Offer a free or pay-what-you-can membership.

Open Pricing

Go to Business → Pricing, on the Pricing tab.

Switch to tiers

If you see Pricing Range, click Switch to Tiers under "Prefer a Detailed Pricing Structure?". Soul creates two tiers from your range to start you off.

Name and price each tier

On each tier card, enter a name in Name this tier… (for example Community rate) and a Base monthly price. Each tier needs its own price.

Choose billing options

Under Billing options, turn on Monthly billing, Yearly billing or both. For yearly, tick Add a discount and enter the Discount (%). The yearly price is twelve months of the base price, minus your discount. The card shows the result, such as "$192 billed annually".

Add more tiers

Click Add Price Tier, fill in the card, and click Add Price Tier again. You can have up to 5. Tiers sort themselves by price.

Save

Click Save Changes. You'll see "Pricing updated successfully!"

Tips

  • Three tiers is a sweet spot: a lower rate for access, a standard rate, and a supporter rate that helps others join.
  • Explain the tiers somewhere visible. The pricing page shows each tier's name, price and billing, and lists what every plan includes, but not a description, so explain them in your bio (it shows at the top of your pricing page) or an announcement.
  • Collect what you need at sign-up with a pre-subscription form.
  • Welcome every new member with a welcome email. Set it up before you launch.
  • Turn on the Membership section in My Portal → Design so visitors see the Join card.

A new price applies to new subscribers only. Existing members keep the price they joined at and aren't moved automatically. To change what current members pay, ask them to cancel under Purchases and re-subscribe, or give them a promo code. See Change your membership price.

What your members see

Your pricing page at https://bringsoul.life/portal/<your-handle>/pricing, titled Join <your portal name>'s space with your bio below it. Each tier shows as a card per billing option: monthly cards say "Cancel any time", yearly cards say "Save N% on the year" (or "Billed once a year" with no discount), and the yearly plan that saves the most is tagged Best value. Below the cards is what membership opens, then a Continue · $X/month button.

From there they create an account or sign in, answer your pre-subscription form if you have one, and pay on the Subscribe page. That's where they can open Have a promo code?. The button reads Subscribe · $X / month (or / year). Send people straight to your pricing page; it's the quickest way to join.
