Hide an item or collection completely while you build it, then publish it when it's ready.

When to use this

  • You're building a new series and don't want it seen half-finished.
  • You want to prepare a launch in advance and publish on the day.
  • You need to pull something off your portal for a while without deleting it.

How it works

Every item and collection is either published or a Draft. A draft is hidden from your portal entirely. Even someone with the direct link can't open it. This is separate from Visibility: a draft stays hidden whatever its visibility, and when you publish, the visibility you chose takes effect.

Create the content

Add the item or collection as usual. Items and collections you create in the dashboard are published as soon as you save them.

Move it to draft

Open the card's ⋯ menu and click Move to Draft. You'll see "Content moved to draft" (or "Collection moved to draft") and a Draft label on the card.

Finish your work

Upload, write, price and attach forms while it's hidden. On the Collections tab, filter Visibility to Draft to find your drafts.

Publish

When it's ready, open the ⋯ menu and click Publish. You'll see "Content published" or "Collection published".

A new item goes live the moment you save it, so move it to draft straight away. Or set it to Unlisted while you create it, then move it to draft.

Good to know

  • Things Soul AI creates start as drafts. If you asked Soul AI to add content, publish it yourself when you're happy.
  • Draft and Unlisted are different. Unlisted is live for anyone with the link. Draft is hidden from everyone.
  • Publishing doesn't switch on portal sections. Check Contents or Collections in My Portal → Design.

What your members see

Nothing while it's a draft. After you publish, it appears according to its visibility: on your portal for Public, for subscribers only for Private, or by link only for Unlisted.
