Take old content off your portal, restore it later, delete it for good, and remove empty collections.

When to use this

  • An old series no longer fits your work.
  • You moved content into a course and don't want it sold twice.
  • You want to delete a collection or folder.

Archive items and restore them

Archive an item

Open the collection, then on the item's ⋯ menu click Archive Content.

Find archived items

Go to Offerings → Content Library → Content and click View All Archived. The Archived Content page lists everything you've archived.

Restore one

On the item's menu, click Unarchive. It goes back to its collection. If Soul doesn't know where it came from, choose a Destination Collection and click Confirm.

Or delete it for good

On the archived item, click Delete and confirm.

Delete a collection or folder

A collection or folder can only be deleted when it's empty. There's no bulk delete.

Empty it

Open the collection. Archive each item (⋯ → Archive Content), or move items you want to keep with Move to... Empty and delete any folders inside first.

Delete the collection

On the Collections tab, open the collection card's menu and click Delete, then Delete Collection.

If a collection still has items or folders inside, it can't be deleted, even though the confirmation message mentions deleting its content. Empty it first.

Good to know

  • Prefer draft over delete for anything people paid for. A draft hides it from new visitors without destroying it.
  • Deleting removes highlights and links that point at the item or collection.
  • Moved to a course? Check the course first, then archive the library items. See Turn a collection into a course.
  • Pausing a series? Move to Draft on the collection hides the whole set in one click.
