Everything about one person in one place: relationship, contact details, subscription, notes, purchases, sessions, form answers and community activity.

Click anyone in Audience → People to open their profile. It's the same page you reach from Business → Customers & Subscribers and from your community roster, so whatever you change here shows everywhere.

When to use this

  • You're about to meet a client and want their history and your notes.
  • Someone asks about a payment or a refund.
  • You need to fix someone's email, phone number or address.
  • You want to send someone a form to fill in, or message them.

ContactEmail and phone, as links you can click to write or call.
Activity line"Last active …" and "Member since …" for community members.

The header shrinks as you scroll, so the name and tabs stay in view.

The tabs

The tab that opens first depends on who they are: Community for current community members, Purchases for customers, Overview for everyone else.

Overview

"The essentials of this relationship, without the operational detail."

SectionWhat's in it
RelationshipLifecycle (Lead or Customer), Community (Member or Not a member) and the date they were Added.
ContactEmail, Phone, Location and Birthday. Edit contact changes them.
SubscriptionStatus (active, past or none). For someone with a membership: Billing cycle, Expires and Cancellation reason when there is one, and Cancel subscription while it's active. Otherwise "No subscription history is associated with this person."
NotesYour private notes about them. See Keep notes on a person.

Purchases

"Customer value and every payment from this person."

  • Customer value: Total spent, Net earnings and Transactions. Narrow it with All Time, Last Week or Last Month, and with All Offerings or one type (Events, Sessions, Content, Collections, Subscriptions, Chat Spaces, Courses). The refresh button reloads it.
  • Transactions: each payment, with what was bought, any promo code used and a status of Completed, Pending, Failed or Refunded. Load more shows older ones.

For refunds, see Refund a member.

Sessions

"Upcoming and previous one-to-one sessions with this person." To book them in, use Book a client yourself; the Book session button here isn't available yet.

Forms

"Form responses and information submitted by this person." Each response shows Submitted, Draft or Completed and when it was submitted. The eye button opens their answers, and Copy Form URL copies the link to that response.

To ask them to fill in a form:

Create a draft

Click Create draft and pick the form.

Copy the link

On the new response ("Draft - not submitted"), click Copy Form URL.

Send it

Paste the link into an email or message to them.

Community

Shown for people who are, or were, members of your community: their Membership, Posts & engagement, Circles & gatherings, a Private host note and Moderation. See Care for your members.

Edit their details

Click Edit (or ⋯ → Edit Contact & Profile). In Edit Contact Information change Name, Email, Phone Number, Birthday, Country, State, City and ZIP Code, then Save Changes. Name and Email are required.

People without a Soul account

Leads you added or imported, and people who only filled in a form, don't have a Soul account yet. Their profile has Overview, Notes and editing, but:

  • Purchases and Sessions show "Not Available Yet": "This person has not converted into a user yet."
  • Forms shows "Coming Soon". Their form answers are on the form itself in Forms & Funnels, under that form's leads.

As soon as they sign up or buy with the same email, their account is linked and these tabs fill in.

Community members who aren't contacts yet

Someone who joined your community before it was linked to People may open with just Community and Overview. On Overview, under Add to contacts, write a note and click Save note to create their contact record, with your note on it.

Good to know

  • The Message button needs a community membership. To reach someone who isn't in your community, use their email link or an announcement.
  • Cancelling a subscription here can't be undone: "the subscriber will lose access to your exclusive content." Confirm with Yes, Cancel Subscription.
  • Lead form submissions also have a Creator Note on the form's lead page in Forms & Funnels. That's separate from the Notes on the profile.
