Passes
Sell a pack of sessions
Offer “5 sessions for one price”, and know when a bundle fits better than a pass.
A "class pack" or "session pack" means a client pays once for a set number of sessions. On Soul there are two ways to get close to this. Pick the one that matches what you're promising.
When to use this
- "5 coaching sessions for $400": a fixed number of sessions. Use a Bundle.
- "Unlimited classes for a month for $99": a fixed time. Use a Pass.
- "$60 up front, then every class is $20 for 3 months": a time window with a lower price. Use a Pass with a Discount.
A pass doesn't count how many times it's used. While it's active, holders can book attached sessions as often as your availability allows. To cap the number of sessions, use a bundle.
Option A: a bundle (a set number of sessions)
Open the session type
Offerings → 1:1 Sessions, then open the session type, or create a new one such as "5-Session Coaching Pack".
Set the bundle size
In the session settings, set Bundle Size to the number of sessions, from 1 to 20. Bundle size can't be used together with group booking.
Price the whole pack
Set the price for all the sessions together, e.g. $400 for 5. Save.
Bundles can't be added to a pass. They're greyed out in Attach Offering with "Bundle sessions cannot be included in a pass." Sell the bundle on its own.
Option B: a pass (a period of time)
Create the pass
Offerings → Passes → Create Pass, e.g. "Monthly Class Pass".
Set the duration and price
⋯ → Edit → Duration: 30 days. Pricing → Add Price: the pack price.
Attach your single-session type
Attach Offering → Session. Pick the normal (non-bundle) session type and click Free, or set a reduced price.
Tips
- If you sell both, name them so the difference is obvious: "5-Session Pack" versus "30-Day Unlimited Pass".
- A pass suits group-style or short sessions where extra bookings cost you little. A bundle suits 1:1 work where your time is limited.
What your members see
- Bundle: one checkout for the whole pack, then they book each session.
- Pass: they buy the pass, then book each attached session. The Confirm Booking page uses their pass under Pay with, so they pay the pass price, or click Book Now when the pass makes the session free. Their first booking starts the pass.
