A short routine for reading Analytics at the end of a month or after a launch, and turning what you see into next steps.

Analytics is most useful as a habit. This routine takes about ten minutes and works the same for a regular month or the week after a launch.

When to use this

  • The first few days of each month, looking back at the last one.
  • A week or two after a launch, a new offering or a promo code.
  • Before you change prices, to know what you're starting from.

Set the period

Open Business → Analytics. For a monthly review, click Custom and pick the first and last day of the month, then Apply. For a launch, pick 7 days or 30 days, or a Custom range starting on launch day.

Read the trend on revenue and earnings

Look at Total Revenue and Net Earnings and the line under each, such as "▲ 22% vs prior period". That compares your period with the same number of days just before it. On 7 days and 30 days, the badge next to Revenue & Earnings Over Time also tells you whether the second half of the period was stronger than the first.

See where the money came from

Scroll to Revenue by Offering Type. To check one kind of offering on its own, set Filter by type (for example Event) and watch Total Revenue, Net Earnings and the chart change. Set it back to All offerings when you're done.

Check your membership

Read Active Subscribers, MRR and Subscriber Tier Split. These are today's numbers, so compare them with what you noted last month. Then read Churn Rate for the period.

Check payments that went wrong

In Refund & Success, look at Refunded and Failed. A rise in Failed usually means cards expiring or being declined.

Look at the funnel

In Conversion Funnel, compare Leads with Customers. Lots of leads and few customers means people are interested but not yet buying.

Write down three numbers

Note Net Earnings, Active Subscribers and MRR somewhere you'll see next month. Several cards show today's value only, so your notes are how you'll see month-on-month change.

Tips

  • Compare like with like. A 30-day period against a 31-day month gives a slightly different picture; use Custom for calendar months.
  • For your accountant or a deeper look, export payments from Payouts & Transactions. Its CSV includes the promo code used on each payment, so you can count how often a launch code was redeemed.
  • Ask Soul AI on Home for a quick read, such as "Compare my revenue this month with last month" or "What did my spring retreat earn after fees?"
