Connect Stripe so you can sell, see every payment and fee, and understand how and when money reaches your bank.

Soul uses Stripe to take payments and pay you. You connect Stripe once, before you sell anything paid. After that, Business → Payouts & Transactions ("Manage your earnings and payouts.") is where you see every payment, its fees, refunds, and money on its way to you.

When to use this

  • You've just signed up and Home says "Set up payouts to unlock your dashboard."
  • You want to know when a payment will reach your bank.
  • You need a record of payments for your accounts.
  • You're looking up one person's payment to refund it or answer a question.

Connect Stripe

Start from Home

Click Set Up Payout ("Complete your payout setup to receive earnings") on Home, or Add Payout Method in Business → Payouts & Transactions → Payouts. Soul shows "Taking you to Stripe… Add your payout method there, then you'll come back here."

Finish in Stripe

Add your identity and bank details in Stripe, then return to Soul.

You're unlocked

Once Stripe is ready, the Set Up Payout reminder disappears, Home says "Payouts are set.", and the rest of your setup checklist unlocks.

Until payouts are set up you can't take paid bookings, and later steps on your Home checklist stay locked. Until it's complete, the Payouts tab shows "Please provide your bank details to complete your payout setup."

How money moves

  1. A member pays at checkout. The payment appears in Transactions straight away.
  2. Stripe settles the payment. Until then its net amount shows as "Pending Settlement" and you can't refund it.
  3. Soul sends your net amount (the payment minus Stripe's processing fee) to your Stripe account. If your Stripe account isn't ready to receive it yet, it waits under Pending Payouts.
  4. Stripe pays your Stripe balance out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule.

The full story, including timing and what holds money back, is in How payouts work.

Payouts tab

Pending Payouts lists money waiting to go to your Stripe account, with a count badge. "These pending payouts will be transferred to your bank account once you have completed your payout setup, our team has reviewed your account, and the funds have been completely settled." Each row shows the Subscriber, the Offering, the Payout Amount and Pending payout. With nothing waiting you'll see "No pending payouts".

Under Payout Settings, once payouts are set up, you'll see:

  • Payout schedule: how often Stripe pays your balance to your bank, such as Daily, Weekly on Friday or Monthly on the 1st, and how many days each payment is held before it can be paid out.
  • Next payout: the amount and arrival date of the next payout Stripe has already created, or None scheduled yet.

Click Manage your payout to open your Stripe dashboard, where you change your bank account and payout schedule.

When do I get paid?

Payout timing to your bank is set in Stripe. If Stripe holds payouts until you reach a minimum, lower that minimum to $0 in your Stripe payout settings for daily payouts. Banks usually take 1–2 business days after Stripe sends the money.

You keep your earnings, minus card processing fees.

Troubleshooting

A payment is in Stripe but not in Soul

Syncing can lag. Check Stripe first. If a payment is confirmed in Stripe but still missing from Soul after 24 hours, email support@bringsoul.life.

A payment says "Pending"

It may be an unfinished checkout rather than money owed. Check your Stripe dashboard to confirm.

A payment shows "Unknown" or "Unknown Customer"

The customer's details haven't finished syncing. Open the payment and click Re-sync now.

"Unable to redirect to the Stripe Dashboard"

Stripe couldn't be reached. Wait a minute and try again.

Earnings here don't match Net Earnings on Analytics

Earnings on this page counts settled payments only; Analytics counts every payment in the period. See Analytics metric definitions.
