Enroll everyone who signs up to your portal in a first-days welcome journey, automatically.

When to use this

  • You want every new member to get a warm, guided start: who you are, where to find things, a first practice.
  • You'd rather not rely on new members finding and joining a path on their own.

Set it up

Create a Self-Paced path

Go to Offerings → Paths, click Create Path (or Add Path), and pick Self-Paced Path. A welcome journey should start on the day each person arrives. Name it something like Your First 30 Days.

Write the welcome sequence

On the Schedule tab, click Add Schedule for each message. A good shape: a hello on the 1st day, how to find your community and offerings on the 2nd day, a first practice on the 3rd day, then a message every few days.

Publish

Click Publish at the top of the page.

Turn on Auto-subscribe

Still on the Schedule tab, find New subscribers ("Automatically enroll new audience signups into this path.") and switch on Auto-subscribe.

Good to know

  • Only future sign-ups are enrolled. People already in your audience aren't added. Use Add Subscriber on the Subscribers tab to bring them in.
  • People already on another path are skipped. Soul runs one path per person, so Auto-subscribe won't pull anyone off a path they're on.
  • Keep it to your welcome path. Since each person can only be on one path, turning Auto-subscribe on for just one path keeps it clear where new members land.
  • Pair it with a welcome email. Turn on Welcome new subscribers automatically in Customers & Subscribers for an instant email, and let the path carry the days after.
  • Hand off at the end. In the last message, invite people to your next path. They can switch with one click on its page.

What your members see

Right after signing up, they start receiving your welcome messages by text, at the times you set, in their own time zone. They can open the path from the Paths section of your portal and leave at any time with Leave This Path.
