Use a Scheduled path so everyone in a live program gets the same message on the same calendar day.

When to use this

  • You're running a live program, retreat, cohort or season with real dates, and every message belongs to a specific day.
  • You want everyone to receive the same prompt together, for example the morning of each live call.
  • You want to choose the channel per message: Text, Email or Text + Email.

Build it

Create a Scheduled path

Go to Offerings → Paths, click Create Path (or Add Path), and pick Scheduled Path. Add a Cover Image, Path Name and Description, then click Create path.

Add a dated message

On the Schedule tab, click Add Schedule. The dialog is called Add Scheduled Prompt. Choose the Type, then pick a Date and Time.

Choose the channel

Under Channel, pick Text, Email or Text + Email. For Email, you get a rich-text Email body editor. For Text and Text + Email, one plain message is sent to both.

Write and save

Write the English message, add an optional Spanish (Optional) version or Attachment, and click Add Schedule.

Fill in the rest of the program

Add a message for each date, or upload them all with Import CSV. The schedule list groups messages by month and shows each one as Scheduled, In progress or Sent.

Publish and invite

Click Publish, then share the path with your program participants. See Get members to join your path.

Good to know

  • The start date is the day you created the path. Message dates must be on or after it, and today or later. You can schedule up to a year ahead.
  • Late joiners don't get earlier messages. Someone who joins on day 5 receives day 5 onwards. Their subscriber panel shows earlier prompts as Missed. To catch them up, open them on the Subscribers tab and click Send Now on the prompts you want them to have.
  • Times are local. A 7:00 AM message reaches each member at 7:00 AM where they are.
  • The channel note under the picker matters. With Text, members who haven't turned on text messages get an email instead. With Text + Email, they get the email only. The dialog also tells you how many current subscribers have no phone number.

Once a scheduled message has been sent, you can't edit it, only delete it. Double-check the text before its date arrives.

What your members see

The path page shows "Next message: <date and time>" so people know when to expect the next prompt. After the last date it reads "No upcoming messages". Members join with Try This Path and can stop with Leave This Path.
