Read an idea's suggested price and revenue split, agree terms with your co-creator, and decide whose portal takes payment.

Every idea comes with a suggested price and split. They're there to start the conversation. Soul doesn't split payments between Luminaries: one person's portal takes the money, and you settle shares between yourselves.

When to use this

  • You and a co-creator have said yes and need to agree who gets what.
  • You're about to set up the joint workshop or retreat and need to decide where people pay.

What the idea suggests

On the idea page:

  • The Money: a suggested price (for example per ticket or per person) and a split between the people on the idea, as percentages. A party can be someone who isn't a Luminary, such as a venue.
  • Taking Payment: how the idea would be sold, with a card for each way.

The buttons open your dashboard in a new tab. They show for the idea's owner, on the card for their own portal.

Agree it and set it up

Talk it through

In your Co-Creation conversation, agree the price, each person's share, and who does what. Use the idea's numbers as a starting point, not a quote.

Pick one portal to take payment

Decide whose portal hosts the offering. That person creates it in their dashboard, with Go To Events (or the matching button) on the idea page.

Write the terms down

Note the agreed split, who invoices whom and when, in your conversation. A pitch is a good place to set it out: Tailor and send a pitch.

Settle after it runs

The host is paid through their own Stripe account like any other sale. The host then pays each co-creator their share, outside Soul.

Soul doesn't create the offering from an idea, and doesn't pay out shares to co-creators. Each sale goes to the one portal that sold it. See Stripe and payouts.

Tips

  • Agree on refunds before you sell. The host's refund policy applies to buyers, so decide how a refund affects each share.
  • Count the venue. If a venue takes a cut or a fee, include it as a party in the split.
  • Off Soul means no guest list or reminders. Prefer selling on one of your portals so attendees get confirmation and reminder emails.
