Chat Spaces
Run an unlisted, link-only chat space
Create a chat room that isn't listed anywhere on your portal, so only people you send the link to can find it.
When to use this
- A small group (retreat alumni, a mastermind, a private client group) needs its own room.
- You're testing a new chat space before you launch it.
- You want to sell or offer a room only to people you invite.
Steps
Create the chat space
Go to Offerings → Chat Spaces and click Create Chat Space. Add a Title and Description.
Choose Unlisted
Under Visibility, choose Unlisted: "Hidden from directory, accessible only via direct link."
Choose free or paid
Keep Free for an invite-only group. Choose Paid if the invitation is to buy in. See Charge for access to a chat space.
Create it and prepare the room
Click Create Chat Space. Post a welcome and Pin it.
Send the link
Click Share and choose Copy Link, or share straight to WhatsApp, Telegram, Email or X. You can also use Copy Link from the card menu in Offerings → Chat Spaces. Send it only to the people you want in the room.
Good to know
- Unlisted spaces don't appear in your portal's Chat Spaces row, even when the section is on. Don't add one to Highlights unless you want it found.
- Anyone who has the link can join. People can forward it. Check Members (N) from time to time and remove anyone who shouldn't be there.
- Someone you remove can't rejoin, even with the link.
- To launch a space you drafted as Unlisted, open the … menu, choose Edit and switch Visibility to Public or Private.
What your members see
People who open your link see the room's title, description and a join button (Join for Free or Join for $X). If they aren't signed in, Soul asks them to sign up or log in first. Visitors browsing your portal never see the space.
