AutoDM
Manage AutoDM campaigns
Pause, resume, rename or delete an AutoDM campaign, and fix keyword and post conflicts between campaigns.
Campaigns are easy to switch on and off. Pausing keeps everything; deleting removes it for good.
When to use this
- An offer has ended and the campaign should stop replying.
- You want to reuse a keyword that another campaign holds.
- You're tidying up old campaigns.
Statuses
| You see | Where | Means |
|---|---|---|
| Setup needed | Campaigns list | No reply saved yet, so it can't respond. |
| Active | Campaign header | Switched on. Replies once a reply is saved. |
| Paused | Campaign header | Switched off. Nothing is sent. |
Pause or resume
Open Settings
Open the campaign on Audience → AutoDM and click the Settings tab.
Switch Active
Turn Active off to pause, on to resume. "Paused campaigns do not send replies. Configuration and results are retained."
Save
Pausing frees the campaign's keywords and posts for other campaigns. Resuming checks them again, so it fails if another active campaign has taken them since.
Rename
On the Settings tab, change Campaign name ("Internal name. Not visible to contacts.") and click Save changes.
Delete
Click Delete on the Settings tab ("Permanently removes this campaign and its results."), or Delete in the ⋯ menu. Confirm with Delete in the "Delete campaign" dialog. "This cannot be undone." Pause instead if you might use it again.
Fix conflicts
Soul refuses a save that would make two active campaigns answer the same comment or DM.
| Message | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Campaign "[name]" already uses [keyword]" | Another active campaign has the keyword and hears the same source (and posts, for comments). | Use another keyword, target different posts, or pause that campaign. |
| "Campaign "[name]" already targets …" or a post marked "already targets this post" | Another active campaign targets the same post. | Remove the post, or pause that campaign. |
New campaigns listen to both comments and DMs on all posts, so the keyword must be free across your whole account when you create one. Narrow the trigger afterwards if needed.
Repeat triggers
Someone who triggers a campaign won't trigger the same campaign again for 12 hours. Their repeat comments are ignored, so you don't spam anyone. A different campaign can still answer them.
