Landing Pages
Restore an earlier version of a landing page
Look back through every publish, Soul AI edit and editing checkpoint of a landing page, preview any of them, and bring one back.
Soul keeps a history of every landing page. If an edit, a Soul AI change or an import went wrong, you can look at an earlier version and restore it.
When to use this
- Soul AI changed more than you wanted.
- You imported an HTML file over your page by mistake.
- You preferred how the page looked last week.
For the last few changes in your current editing session, Undo in the Edit panel is quicker. To throw away everything since you last published, use ⋮ → Revert to published.
What's in History
Open the History tab at the top of the left panel. Versions are grouped by day (Today, Yesterday, then dates), newest first, each with a time:
| Label | When it's saved |
|---|---|
| Created with Soul AI | Soul built the page. |
| Soul AI — [summary] | Soul made a change; the summary says what. |
| Edited in editor | A checkpoint while you edited by hand. |
| Published | You published the page. |
| Restored a version | You restored an earlier version. |
The version visitors are seeing is marked Live. If there are no versions yet, you'll see "No versions yet — they appear as you edit and publish."
Open History
In Audience → Landing Pages, select the page and click History in the left panel.
Preview a version
Click a version ("Click a version to view it — restore from there if you want it back"). It opens as a read-only preview over the page.
Restore it, or go back
Click Restore this version, or Back to current to close the preview. Restoring asks: "Replace your current draft with this version? A checkpoint of the current draft is saved first, so you can always come back."
Publish if the page is live
Restoring changes your draft. If the page is live, click Publish changes for visitors to see the restored version.
Good to know
- Restoring never loses work: your current draft is saved as a checkpoint first, so you can restore it back.
- Each page has its own history. Switching pages closes any version preview.
- Revert to published and Restore this version both change your draft only. Nothing changes for visitors until you publish.
