Landing Pages
Edit your landing page by hand
Change text, images, video and buttons, style any element, add components, reorder sections, undo mistakes, and import or export the page as HTML.
You can change anything on a landing page yourself, right on the page. Every change saves on its own (you'll see Saving… then Saved), and nothing reaches visitors until you publish.
When to use this
- Fixing a word, a price or a date.
- Swapping in your own photo or a video.
- Adjusting colors, sizes and spacing so it feels right.
- Moving sections around.
For bigger changes, such as a new section or a different overall look, it's often faster to ask Soul. See Create a page with Soul.
Start editing
Open Audience → Landing Pages, pick the page on the left, and click Edit above the preview. The Edit panel opens on the right and the page becomes editable:
- Double-click text to edit it.
- Click a block to select it. A small toolbar appears next to it.
- Drag a selected block to move it, or use its toolbar.
- Press Esc to deselect.
To see the page as visitors will, with menus and animations working, close the panel. Use Desktop and Mobile above the preview to check both sizes.
The floating toolbar
When you select something, a toolbar appears beside it with the controls that fit it. While you're typing inside text, it shows Bold, Italic, Underline, Strikethrough and Link selected text for the words you've highlighted.
| Control | What it does |
|---|---|
| Text size, Bold, Text color | Style the selected text. |
| Add link | Turn a button or block into a link to an address, a section of the page, or one of your offerings. |
| Place on page / Alignment | Left, center or right. |
| Background | A background color for the block. |
| Inner spacing | More or less room inside the block. |
| Change picture | Upload a new image in place of the selected one. |
| Select the container around this | Move the selection up to the block that holds it, for example from a heading to its section. |
| Drag to move | Drag the block somewhere else on the page. |
| Duplicate | Make a copy of the block. |
| Remove | Delete the block. |
| More options | Rounded corners and shadow. |
The Edit panel
The panel on the right has the same tools, plus page-wide ones.
Add offering
Pick an offering to add it as a live card. See Add offerings and links.
Add component
Heading, Text, Button, Image, Video and Divider. Drag a tile onto the page to place it exactly, or click it to insert it next to your selection (or just above the footer if nothing is selected). Image and Video ask you to choose a file to upload.
The selected element
When something is selected, the panel shows what it is (Heading, Subheading, Paragraph, Button / link, Image, Video, Section or Block) and its settings:
| Element | Settings |
|---|---|
| Text | Font, Size, Weight (Regular to Extra bold), Color, Align |
| Button / link | Link ("https://… or #section"), or Link to a collection, session, event, or course…; Place on page |
| Image | Replace image, Image URL, Place on page |
| Video | Upload video, or a Video URL (an .mp4 file or a YouTube link) |
| Any block | Background, Corners (None, Small, Medium, Large, XL, Full), Shadow (None, Subtle, Medium, Large) |
| An embedded form | See Add a form |
Use the trash icon to delete the selection, or the X to deselect it.
Sections
A list of the page's sections. Drag one to reorder the page. Click a section to scroll to it.
Add form
Pick a form to embed. See Add a form.
Undo and Redo
At the bottom of the panel. They step back and forward through your changes in this editing session. For anything older, use History.
Import or export HTML
At the bottom of the Edit panel:
- Export HTML downloads the page as an HTML file, for a backup or to work on elsewhere.
- Import HTML file replaces the page's content with an HTML file you choose. Soul asks first: "Replace this page's content with "[file name]"?"
Importing replaces the whole page. If you change your mind, restore the previous version from History.
Good to know
- Changes save automatically. There's no Save button.
- Editing a live page doesn't change what visitors see until you click Publish changes.
- Some effects, such as menus that open and scroll animations, only run in the preview, not while the Edit panel is open.
- The footer is added for you from your portal details: your portal name, a short bio and your social links.
- Upload images that are yours to use. Soul AI can't make photos for you.
