Connect Soul to ChatGPT, Claude and other AI apps
Let an AI app such as ChatGPT, Claude or Claude Code manage your portal for you: read your events and sales, create offerings and edit pages.
Beta. Connecting AI apps is new. Tell us through Support if something doesn't work as described here.
Soul works as a connector (an MCP server) for AI apps. Once you connect one, you can ask it things like "what events do I have next week?" or "create a Sunday breathwork class with a cover photo" and it works on your portal for you.
When to use this
- You already plan your week in ChatGPT or Claude and want it to act on your portal too.
- You want to set up several offerings in one conversation instead of filling in forms.
- You want an AI app to write or edit a landing page in your own words.
What the AI app can do
It can do almost everything Soul AI can do in your dashboard: read your portal, events, sessions, courses, members, announcements, landing pages and sales, and create or change them. A few things to know:
- Your AI app asks you before every change. Read what it is about to do before you approve it.
- Changes are real. They happen on your live portal, and some (like sending an announcement) email your members.
- For images, it offers photos from Soul's built-in gallery. To use your own photo, it sends you an upload link (see Use your own image).
Connect an AI app
The server address for every app is:
https://mcp.bringsoul.life
Add a custom connector
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. Name it Soul and paste the server address above.
Sign in to Soul
Click Connect. A Soul page opens: sign in with your Soul account if you are asked to.
Allow access
Check the page shows the right app and account, then click Allow Access. You go back to Claude, and Soul appears in your connectors.
Turn on developer mode
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors and turn on developer mode under the advanced settings.
Create the connector
Create a new connector, name it Soul, paste the server address above and choose OAuth as the sign-in method.
Allow access
Sign in to Soul if you are asked to, check the app and account, then click Allow Access.
Add the server
In a terminal, run claude mcp add --transport http soul https://mcp.bringsoul.life.
Sign in
Start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose soul and pick Authenticate. Your browser opens the Soul
page: click Allow Access.
Add the server
Add Soul to your opencode.json:
{
"mcp": {
"soul": { "type": "remote", "url": "https://mcp.bringsoul.life" }
}
}
Sign in
In a terminal, run opencode mcp auth soul. Your browser opens the Soul page: click Allow
Access, then go back to OpenCode.
The Allow Access page
Every app sends you to the same Soul page before it can do anything:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| The app's icon next to Soul's | Which app is asking. Claude and ChatGPT show their own logo. |
| "Allow … to manage your Soul portal?" | The app's name, as the app gives it. |
| Your account | The Soul account the app will act for. Sign out first if it is the wrong one. |
| Returns you to | The website that receives the answer. Deny if you don't recognise it. |
Click Allow Access to connect, or Deny to refuse. The page only works for a few minutes; if it says the request was not found, start connecting again from the app.
Use your own image
AI apps can't send files to Soul directly. When you want your own photo, for example as an event cover:
Ask for it
Tell the app you want to use your own image. It sends you an upload link.
Upload
Open the link, choose a JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF, check the preview and click Upload Image.
Tell the app
Go back to the app and say the upload is done. It picks up the image and uses it.
An upload link works once, only for your account, and for 30 minutes.
Disconnect an app
Go to Settings → Integrations. Under Apps with access, click Disconnect next to the app and confirm. It loses access right away. The card only appears while at least one app is connected.
Troubleshooting
The app keeps asking me to connect
Disconnect it in Settings → Integrations, remove the connector in the app, then connect again.
The Soul page says the request was not found
The request expired or was already answered. Start connecting again from the app.
The upload page says the link is not available
Upload links expire after 30 minutes and work once. Ask the app for a new link.
