A Course is a structured, self-paced program. You organize it into Modules (the chapters) and fill each module with Lessons: videos, rich pages, and quizzes. They find the course in the Courses section of your portal, or open a link you shared: `https://bringsoul.life/portal//courses/`. 2. The course page shows your cover image, the description, how many Modules and Lessons it has, and the price under Investment. 3. People who aren't signed in click Sign In / Sign Up first (Subscribe & Sign Up on a members-only course). Then they click the button that fits their situation: Enroll for a free course, Enroll for $…, or Subscribe to Enroll for a members-only course. Paid courses open a checkout where they can enter a promo code, then Proceed to Payment. Card and Klarna are accepted. 4. If you've marked any lessons as free previews, they can try them before enrolling, with Preview Course (when not signed in) or Preview free content (when signed in). They see _"Preview Mode - Only free preview lessons are accessible"_ with an Enroll Now button. 5. Once enrolled, they click Start Learning. The course player shows the modules and lessons in a sidebar. Each module shows _"N/N complete"_. 6. They click Mark Complete at the end of each lesson, then Next. Submitting a quiz marks that lesson complete automatically. 7. Next time, the button reads Continue Learning. When every lesson is done they see Course Completed! and can Review Course. 8. To come back to a course, they open it from the Courses section of your portal. Courses they paid for are also listed in their [Purchases](https://bringsoul.life/purchases), where each one opens the course page. ## Anatomy of a course A course has four layers: the Course itself (details, price, visibility), its Modules, the Lessons inside each module, and the Enrollments of the people who join. ### Course details You set these when you create the course. Change them later with ⋯ → Edit details on the course page. | Setting | What it does | | ----------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Course Title (required) | The name on your portal, the course page and at checkout. Up to 255 characters. | | Course Description (required) | The pitch on the course page, with formatting and images. Shown on the dashboard under About this course. | | Cover Image | A 16:9 image on the course card and page. You add it after creating the course, in Edit details. | | Status | Draft, Published or Archived. See [Statuses](#statuses-and-lifecycle). | | Visibility | Public: _"Anyone with the link can find and access your course."_ Private: only your active subscribers can enroll. Everyone else sees _"This course is exclusive to subscribers."_ | | Learning Pace | Self-Paced (_"Learners complete lessons at their own speed with no time constraints"_). Cohort-Based, Hybrid and Live are shown as Coming Soon. | | Create outline based on description | Shown as _"Coming soon"_. To draft a course outline with AI today, ask [Soul AI](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/soul-ai). | ### Pricing Set in step 2 of New Course, and later from the Course details tab → Course settings → Price → Edit, which opens Edit Course Pricing. | Setting | What it does | | --------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Regular Price | The one-time price anyone pays. Set it to $0 to make the course free. | | Add subscriber price → Subscriber Price | A separate price for your paying members. Set it lower, or to $0 to include the course in your membership. | | Add discount | A discount on one price tier: $ Fixed or % Percent off, with an optional Expires date and time. Members see the reduced price. | | Refund policy | Uses your portal's [refund policy](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/business/refunds) unless you save an override for this course. | | Pass-holder price | Shown to members who hold a pass that includes the course (_"Included with your pass"_). Passes can't include courses from the dashboard yet. | Course prices are always one-time. There's no monthly billing or pay-what-you-want range for a course. For codes people type at checkout, create a [promo code](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/business/promotions) that applies to Course. ### Modules Modules are the chapters of your course. Create them in the Content builder with Create New Module, or build several at once with Import from Collection. | Setting | What it does | | ---------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Title (required) | The module name, shown as _"Module 1: …"_ on your dashboard and in the member's sidebar. | | Description (required) | A short overview of the module. | From a module's ⋯ menu: Edit, Import Lessons (from your Content Library), Share (once the course is published) and Delete. Drag the handle to reorder modules. ### Lessons Click a module, then New Lesson (or Create First Lesson). Choose a lesson type: | Type | What it holds | Options | | ------------ | ---------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Video Lesson | One video, plus an optional Video description. | Upload an MP4 or MOV file, paste a link From URL (YouTube, Vimeo or a direct video link), paste a Google Drive share link, or pick from your Library. Set the Duration (MM:SS or HH:MM:SS). | | Page | A rich page built from blocks. | Text Block, Image Block and Video Block, in any order. Start from Scratch or Import from Library. | | Quiz | A multiple-choice quiz. | Quiz Title, Quiz Description, and questions with at least two options each. Tick the correct answer(s). See [Add a quiz](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/offerings/courses/add-a-quiz). | Every lesson also has: | Setting | What it does | | ----------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Lesson Title (required) | Shown in the course sidebar. Change it with Edit. | | Status | Draft or Published. Only published lessons appear to members. Use Publish Lesson / Unpublish. | | Make Free Preview | Lets anyone open this lesson without enrolling. It's tagged Preview on your dashboard and Free for members. Remove Free Preview to undo. | | Add Attachment | Extra files on any lesson, such as worksheets or audio. Upload a file or pick one from your Library. Members see them under Attachments with a Download button. | | Share | Copies a direct link to the lesson. Works once both the course and the lesson are published. | Drag the handle to reorder lessons within a module. ### Enrollments Each person who joins has an Enrollment with a status, their payment, and their progress. Free enrollments and paid ones that went through both show as Active. | | Unpaid | They started checkout but the payment didn't complete. They don't have access yet. | | Refunded | Their payment was refunded. They no longer have access. | ### Automation On the course's Automation tab, create rules that run _"after someone successfully enrolls in this course"_: Send Email or Ask to Fill Out Form. See [Send a welcome email when someone enrolls](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/offerings/courses/send-a-welcome-email-on-enrollment). ## Where it lives in the dashboard [Offerings → Courses](https://portal.bringsoul.life/courses): _"Create and manage your learning experiences."_ Each course is a card showing its status, price (or _Free_), pace and visibility. Filter by Status, sort by Newest, Oldest or Name (A–Z), and use the card menu to Edit, Copy Link (published courses) or Publish / Move to Draft. Opening a course gives you: - Header: status, visibility and pace pills, ⋯ (Edit details, Delete course), Share Course (published courses only) and Publish course / Unpublish. - Content builder: the Course Structure sidebar with your modules and lessons, and an editor for whatever you select. - Course details: Created, Updated, Modules and Lessons at a glance, About this course, the module list (Manage modules & lessons), Course settings (visibility, pace, price, refund policy) and an enrollment count with View All Enrollments. - Enrollments: everyone who has enrolled. - Quiz Attempts: every quiz attempt across the course. - Automation: rules that run when someone enrolls. **Note:** The course page needs a wider screen. On a phone or narrow window you'll see *"Desktop view required"*. Use a laptop or desktop, or widen the window. ## Statuses and lifecycle | Course status | What members see | | ------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Draft | New courses start here. Members can't see or open it. You can build and preview freely. | | Published | Live on your portal and at its link. People can enroll. | | Archived | Hidden from members, like a draft, and kept on your list under the Archived filter. Set it from Edit details → Status. | **Warning:** Publishing a course doesn't publish its lessons. Each lesson has its own Draft / Published status, and members only see published lessons. If members see a module with no lessons, publish the lessons. When you import lessons, you can tick *"Publish all lessons immediately"* to skip this step. A lesson can't be published until it has content. A video lesson needs a video (_"Upload a video before publishing this lesson."_), a page needs at least one block (_"Add content before publishing this lesson."_), and a quiz needs questions (_"Add quiz questions before publishing this lesson."_). Unpublishing or archiving a course hides it from everyone, including people who are already enrolled. Move it back to Published and their access and progress return. ## Limits and good-to-knows - No scheduled or drip release. Lessons can't be set to unlock on a date or a number of days after enrolling. Publish lessons by hand as you go. Create a [chat space](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/offerings/chat-spaces/introduction) and link to it from the course description or a welcome lesson. - No unlisted courses. A course is either Public or Private (subscribers only). Individual Content Library items can be unlisted. - You can't add someone to a course by hand. People enroll themselves. To let specific people in for free, give them a 100%-off [promo code](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/business/promotions). - Enrollment is for life. Once someone is enrolled and paid (or enrolled free), they keep access, even if their membership later ends. A refund removes access. - Quizzes are one attempt. Once a member submits a quiz, they can review it but not retake it. - Lessons copied from your library are copies. Changing the library item later doesn't change the lesson. - Big video uploads: keep the tab open until the upload finishes. Chrome is the most reliable browser for large files. For very large recordings, a Google Drive link set to _"Anyone with the link"_ is an alternative. - Course structure can't be exported to a file yet. - Deleting a course can't be undone. - Soul AI can build it for you. Ask [Soul AI](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/soul-ai) to _"create a 4-module course on breathwork"_ and it scaffolds the modules and lessons for you to fill in.
