The Content Library is where you keep the things you've made: guided meditations, class recordings, videos, PDFs and workbooks, images, links and written articles. Each piece is a Content Item. You can publish items on their own or gather them into Collections (a series, a program, a themed set). Every item and collection can be free or paid, open to everyone or kept for your subscribers. That's a separate library. | | Daily or weekly prompts sent by text | A [Path](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/offerings/paths/introduction) | ## What members experience 1. A visitor finds your content in the Contents or Collections section of your portal, in Highlights, or through a link you shared. 2. They open an item. What happens next depends on how you set it up: - Free, no form: they can watch, listen or read straight away. No account needed. - Free with a form: they see _"Quick Form Required"_. If they aren't signed in, they click Get Access to sign in or create an account first. Then they fill in your form and get in. - Paid: they see _"Premium Content"_, the price and _"One-time purchase for instant access"_, then click Buy Now and pay by card with Pay $X. - Free for subscribers: subscribers see Claim Free Access. Everyone else pays. - Private: non-subscribers see _"Subscribers Only"_ and Subscribe Now (Subscribe First if the item also has a price). A private collection shows Subscription Required with Subscribe Now. 3. Once they have access, the item plays or opens on the page: - Audio: an in-page player. - Video: an in-page player. - Article: the full text on the page. - Image: a viewer, plus Download Image. - PDF or other file: Download PDF, Download Document, Download Spreadsheet, Download ZIP or Download File. - Link: Visit Link. 4. Public and unlisted items have a Share button. Private items don't. Use Copy Link or Share in the dashboard. ## Anatomy The library has three building blocks: - Content items, the pieces themselves. - Collections, which group items. - Folders, which sit inside a collection and group items further. Pricing, forms and visibility can be set on items and on top-level collections. ### Content item: Details (step 1) Click Add Content. The Add New Content window has three steps: Details, Pricing and Form. | Setting | What it does | | --------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | File / Link / Article | The kind of item. File uploads audio, video, an image or a document. Link stores a web address (External Link URL). Article is text you write in Soul. | | Click to upload | Uploads the file: video (MP4, WebM, OGG) up to 10 GB, audio (MP3, WAV, OGG, WebM) up to 1 GB, documents (PDF, Word, Excel, ZIP) up to 5 GB, images (JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP) up to 20 MB. | | Title (required) | Shown on the card and the item page. | | Description | Short text under the title. Links you paste become clickable. | | Thumbnail (optional) | The card image. Upload one, or click Choose from Gallery to pick a built-in image. | | Visibility | Public, Private or Unlisted. See [Visibility](#visibility-who-can-see-it) below. | Click Save to create the item and move on. Pricing and the form can only be set once the item is saved. ### Content item: Pricing (step 2) | Setting | What it does | | --------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Add Price → Regular Price | What everyone pays. Leave it off, or set $0, for a free item. | | Add subscriber price → Subscriber Price | A separate price for your paying portal subscribers. Set $0 to make it free for them. | | Add discount | A discount on one price tier: Percent off (%) or Amount off ($), with an optional Expires date. Members see the original price struck through. | Items are a one-time purchase. There's no monthly billing or pay-what-you-want range on content. For shareable discount codes, use [promo codes](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/business/promotions), which can target content. ### Content item: Form (step 3) A Pre-purchase form is a form people must fill in before they can get the item, free or paid. Click Add Form: | Setting | What it does | | ------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Use Existing Form | Pick one of your custom forms. | | Or create new form | Make a new form here. Set a Form Title, an optional Description, and Contact Information: Required (name and email), Optional, or Anonymous (_"Respondents can submit without any contact info"_). Then Create Form and Edit Questions. | | Allow one-time submission reuse | If ticked, someone who already filled in the form isn't asked again next time. | | Remove | Takes the form off the item. | Only custom forms can be used, and an item can have one form at a time. Choosing a different one replaces it. Responses show up in [Audience → Forms & Funnels](https://portal.bringsoul.life/forms). See [People and forms](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/audience/forms). ### Collection Click Add Collection on the Collections tab. The window has two steps. | Setting | What it does | | ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ | | Name | The collection's title. | | Description | Shown on the collection page. | | Cover Image | Upload one, or Choose from Gallery. | | Visibility | Public (_"Anyone can access"_), Private (_"Only subscribers can access"_) or Unlisted (_"Only those with the link can access"_). | | Pricing | Regular Price, Subscriber Price and Add discount, as for items. One purchase unlocks everything inside. You can Skip for Now and price it later. | | Form | A pre-purchase form for the whole collection. Use Attach Form in the collection's More actions menu, or Form on the collection card. | ### Folder Inside a collection, click Add → Folder to create a folder: a smaller group, such as _Week 1_. Folders have a name, description, cover and visibility, but no price or form of their own. They follow the collection they sit in. ### Adding items in bulk Inside a collection, click Add → Bulk Upload. Drag in several files, give each a title, and optionally a Price and Subscriber price. Under Settings choose the visibility for the batch, then click Upload. ### Visibility: who can see it | Setting | Behavior | | -------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Public | Listed on your portal. Anyone can open it (they may still need to pay or fill a form). | | Private | Listed only for your subscribers. Others who open the link see _"Subscribers Only"_. The dashboard card shows Subscribers. | | Unlisted | Not listed anywhere on your portal or feeds, but anyone with the link can open it. | A few rules: - Unlisted is available on standalone items and on collections, but not on items _inside_ a collection. - Items inside a Private collection are private too. Bulk uploads into one are set to _"Private (required for this collection)"_. - When you change a collection's visibility, Soul offers a Review Visibility step so you can update the items inside. You can also do it any time with More actions → Manage Visibility. ### Draft or published Separately from visibility, every item and collection is either published or a Draft. A draft is hidden from your portal completely, even from people who have the link. Use Move to Draft and Publish in the card's ⋯ menu. Items you add in the dashboard are published as soon as you save them. Items that [Soul AI](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/soul-ai) creates for you start as drafts. ## Where it lives in the dashboard [Offerings → Content Library](https://portal.bringsoul.life/content-library) has these tabs: | Tab | What's there | | ----------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | Collections | Your collections. Add Collection, Reorder, search, and a Visibility filter (All, Public, Unlisted, Private, Draft). | | Content | Items that aren't in any collection. Add Content, View All Archived, search and a Visibility filter. | The Share button at the top copies the link to whichever half you're looking at. Collection page (click a collection): the price for Everyone and Subscribers, the number of Items and Folders, and these buttons: - Add: Content, Folder or Bulk Upload. - Edit: the collection's details and pricing. - More actions: Attach Form / Manage Form, Reorder, Manage Visibility, Preview and Share. Item page (click an item): a preview, the Settings card (Visibility and Pricing, each with Edit), Quick Actions (Copy Link, Download or Open Link), the Pre-purchase Form card, and Delete Content. Articles also have Edit Article. #### Card menus (⋯) - Items: Edit, Duplicate, Make Private / Make Public, Move to Draft / Publish, Copy Link, Require Form / Manage Form and Move to... Inside a collection there's also Archive Content. Outside a collection there's also Delete. - Collections: Form, Edit, Duplicate, Move to Draft / Publish, Copy Link and Delete. Archived Content (View All Archived): _"Restore or permanently remove content you have archived."_ ## Statuses and labels | You see (dashboard) | Meaning | | ---------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------- | | Public / Subscribers / Unlisted | The item's visibility | | Draft | Hidden from your portal | | Free, a price, or Subscribers free / Subscribers $X | Pricing at a glance | | Form / Form Required | A pre-purchase form is attached | | Folder | A folder inside a collection | | Members see | When | | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | --------------------------------------------------- | | Claim Free Access | A subscriber on an item that's free for subscribers | | Buy Now, then Pay $X | Paid item | | Quick Form Required / Complete Form & Purchase | Item with a pre-purchase form (free / paid) | | Subscribers Only → Subscribe Now | Private item, visitor not subscribed | | Purchase Required → Purchase Collection, then Pay $X | Paid collection | | _"This content is part of a collection. Purchase the collection to unlock this content."_ | Opening an item inside a locked collection | ## Limits and good to know - A collection's price unlocks everything in it. If an item inside a paid collection also has its own price, buyers have to pay for that item separately as well. - Set both prices on paid collections. If a collection has a Regular Price but no Subscriber Price, your subscribers are asked to pay too. Add a Subscriber Price ($0 if they should get it free). - Only top-level collections can have a price or a form. Folders follow their parent. - You can only delete an empty collection. Archive or move every item and folder out first. There's no bulk delete. - Items inside a collection can't be Unlisted. Make the whole collection unlisted, or keep the item standalone. - Uploads need the tab open. They don't continue in the background. For big videos, use Chrome, keep the tab open, and compress or split long recordings. - Audio on phones: Chrome keeps playing with the screen off. Safari needs the screen on. - Audio, video and articles are view-only for members. There's no download button for them. Files, images and links always show a download or Visit Link button.
