Soul doesn't have a separate funnel builder, and you don't need one. A funnel is a few pieces you already have, joined in order. This guide walks through a common one for practitioners: a free guide that leads to a discovery call. ## The example A breathwork teacher wants more 1:1 clients. Her funnel: 1. Visitors find a free 10-minute practice through her Instagram bio. 2. They leave their name and email to get it, and it arrives straight away. 3. A week later she sends everyone who downloaded it an announcement inviting them to a free discovery call. 4. Upload it to your [Content Library](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/offerings/content-library/introduction) and archive it, or upload it while setting up the form. Articles can't be used as a free download; use a file. **Step 2: Create the lead form and its page** In [Audience → Forms & Funnels](https://portal.bringsoul.life/forms), click Add Form, choose Lead Form and create it. On the Landing Page tab, write the headline and description, attach the freebie under Incentive Content and click Create Form Page. Full steps: [Build a lead funnel with a freebie](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/audience/build-a-lead-funnel). **Step 3: Give it a front door** Pick one or more: - Share the form link in your bio and stories. - Set up an [AutoDM keyword campaign](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/audience/autodm-keyword-campaign) that replies with the link. - Add a [Get updates button](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/audience/capture-leads-from-your-portal) to your portal that opens the form. - Build a [landing page](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/audience/landing-pages/introduction) that tells the fuller story and [embeds the form](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/audience/landing-pages/add-a-form). The free download is tied to the form, so it's delivered wherever the form is submitted. **Step 4: Set up the next step** Create the offering you'll invite people to, for example a free 20-minute discovery session in [Offerings → 1:1 Sessions](https://portal.bringsoul.life/one-on-one) (see [Offer a free discovery call](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/offerings/sessions/offer-a-free-discovery-call)). Create a custom form with a few intake questions and [require it before booking](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/offerings/sessions/require-an-intake-form). **Step 5: Test the whole path** In a private window, go through it as a stranger: click the link, submit the form with an email you can check, open the freebie, then book the session and answer the intake form. Fix anything that feels slow or confusing. **Step 6: Follow up** After a few days, send an [announcement](https://help.bringsoul.life/luminaries/audience/send-an-announcement-to-a-segment) to _"Leads from [your form] form"_ with a personal note and the booking link. They open your link and see your headline, image and description, with the form. 2. They submit their name, email and phone number. 3. They see your thank-you message, _"Here's something for you,"_ and an Access Your Content button. The freebie is emailed to them too, so they can find it later. 4. Later, your announcement arrives in their inbox with the invitation. 5. They book the discovery session, answering your intake questions first. ## Watch how it's going - The form's Leads tab shows how many people signed up, and when. - In [Audience → People](https://portal.bringsoul.life/audience/people), people who claimed the freebie show it on their activity, and the ones who go on to book or buy move from lead to customer on their own. - Your sessions list shows who booked. **Note:** Soul doesn't show conversion rates or page views for a funnel. The freebie, the page and the follow-up should all speak to the same problem. - Keep the freebie short. Something people can use today earns more trust than a long course they'll never finish. - Write the follow-up like a person, not a brand.
